reduce your junk mail and have your name(s) removed from rented mailing
lists, please note the new address below. It can take 90 days to take
effect and your name will stay on the list for 5 years. You must make
the request in writing, and list all possible names currently used on
your mail.

What to do with other items

Save your residential household hazardous waste for County collections. Please review list of accepted items.

Save household/toy/cellphone/hearing aid batteries for County of Hawai`i Household Hazardous Waste collections.

Solidify your non-toxic liquids and old latex paints in order to dispose of them in the trash. Call the County Solid Waste Office at 961-8339 for more information. See Alternatives for Toxins for more information.

Turn in automotive/deep-cycle batteries when you buy new ones or return to participating vendors in West Hawai`i and East Hawai`i for proper disposal.

Turn in old tires when you buy new ones or return to partcipating vendors in West Hawaii and East Hawaii for proper disposal.

Call the County Police Department at 935-3311 for abandoned vehicles on public roads.
