Used Motor Oil

USED MOTOR OIL RECYCLING PROGRAM

Used oil is locally collected by Hawai`i Petroleum or Unitek Services and shipped to O`ahu, Maui or the mainland for reprocessing.

INSTRUCTIONS: Residents must sign in and verify that the oil is uncontaminated, and they must take their containers back. Please use clean, dry containers to store and transport your oil.
Please do not use Clorox/bleach bottles or chlorine tablet buckets.

Acceptable: motor oil, gear oil, shock oil, hydraulic oil, transmission oil, and diesel.

Unacceptable: Gasoline, water, brake fluid, solvents, thinners, paints, antifreeze, and anything mixed with oil.

Please, do not use bleach, antifreeze, or pesticide bottles for transportation.

We are working on getting more community partners. New sites in Waimea, South Kona and Puna are being considered. Please call us if you are interested in becoming a registered partner.
